UK: Boston 1Mt/yr plant puts back environmental report

Alternative Use Boston Projects (AUBP) has said it will not be opening a consultation into its environmental report for the vast Boston-based EfW plant until "later this year".

AUBP is developing the Boston Alternative Energy Facility, which will process up to 1Mt/yr of RDF and have a capacity of 102MWe about of which 80MWe would go to the national grid.

The phase-two consultation, which kicks off later this month, will now give an update on the project, including environmental aspects, and seek feedback on the updated proposals from the community, according to AUBP.

Earlier this year the company said it was on course to apply for a development control order (DCO) for the plant between April and June this year.
