Belgium: Tender issued for biogas build

Dendermonde-based Verko has today tendered for a contractor to build it an anaerobic digestion plant.

According to the tender, the plant would produce biogas, which would either be converted into heat or sent as power to the local electricity grid.

Verko said it hopes to move to construction on the project in July this year, with the project completed by March 2022.

No specifics or financial details are given in the tender, apart from a "small part" of the biogas, equivalent to 250,000 litres of diesel, which would be annually liquefied for transport applications.
