UK: IBA processing centre permit handed back

WTI UK has this week handed back its environmental permit for an on site incinerator bottom ash (IBA) processing facility

The company was planning to build the IBA facility to serve its EfW plant, which is under-construction on the same, but the permit surrender confirms its will send IBA to other sites.

A new environmental permit consultation was opened last month into the Kemsley Generating Station, known as K3, by US-based EfW developer Wheelabrator, which said the IBA facility would not go any further forward.
